The project Seniors Online provided English language and ICT-training for senior citizens from the city of Raisio, Finland, during last Autumn and in the beginning of this year. Anmiro Oy - the Finnish partner in the project - arranged a final exploitation and dissemination seminar for seniors in Raisio Library on 31st May 2017.
The Seniors On-line seminar of created E-Book took place on May 31, 2017 in Ādaži, Latvia. To better understand principles and mechanisms of the e-book seniors used their own laptops – they tried listening materials, checked English phrases, and looked through additional links of sources, e.g., dictionaries included in several chapters. Some seniors said they will definitely use E-Book for further self-learning.
The seminar aimed to, first of all, present the eBook, but also enabled seniors practise the ICT skills they gained during their earlier training course.
On the 16th of May, SIH together with its associated partner Medardas Čobotas Third Age University, organised an exploitation seminar, during which the main project output - an eBook “English and the ICT Skills for Life” as well as the other project’s achievements were presented.
The Conference participants, especially representatives of Third Age Universities were very much interested to hear about an upcoming Seniors On-line project results exploitation seminar, during which an eBook “English and the ICT Skills for Life” will be launched, as well as the Final Seniors On-line conference “Challenges for Seniors - Foreign Language and ITC Skills for an Active Life”.
